Grunsteinhutte in Schoenau am Koenigssee

It was well attended. Despite Corona, I had a good feeling that I was right here. A well thought-out working concept. The service is excellent and the team worked well on that day. No trace of hectic, more fun at work. It didn't take long from ordering to enjoying the food. The drinks were there almost immediately. I would love to come back here.

A good opportunity for a rest. Ideal for relaxing after the ascent with a cool drink and a small meal. From the nearby summit you have a great view of the Königssee and Berchtesgaden.

Delicious food, central and good location to the Grünstein and on the way to the Kühroint-Alm or the Archenkanzel.

Pea soup was amazing. Very nice staff and ambiance inside. Highly recommended 👍

I am a little irritated by the many positive reviews. Since there was no more space inside, we sat outside. Unfortunately the waiter didn't serve us there. We tried to draw attention to ourselves several times - without success. When something became free inside, we sit in. After all, we were served here. He hectically took up the order for the drinks, we also wanted to eat something, but he wanted to take it up later. Well, that didn't happen somehow. He was so stressed that he threw the tables upside down. When the next table (which came later than us) ordered food, we heard that there were no more fried potatoes (it was about 1:00 p.m.). He didn't pay any attention to us anyway. You could think that it is a huge restaurant, no inside there are only 5 tables. Of course, we can't say anything about the quality of the food. It is a pity that the monopoly is being exploited.

We visited the Grünstein on Wednesday and warmed up with a hot cup of cocoa in the Grünstein hut. The landlady is so nice, so the hut can only be recommended.

A warm oven to dry your wet clothes and a wonderful soup and a delicious bacon bread and tea to enjoy and warm up - little moments of happiness that the landlady rounds off with her care for the human and animal guests. We felt comfortable here. We recommend.

You can relax well before or after the last section on the green stone.

We started from Königssee towards Grünstein. Have then stopped at the Grünsteinhütte. Nice condition. You got something for the little hunger just as you get thirsty ..... 😇 Fantastic view.

The broadcasting ended at 6:00 p.m., the money was already paid at 4:45 p.m. from Chef, apparently didn't feel like it anymore, down in the valley I met him later with his kitchen man, both spoke rather disparagingly about today's day guests. Due to Corona, both of them apparently did not fare so well financially, if you wonder, with the attitude and the service! Don't complain, offer service !!!!!!

A cozy hut with very, very attentive staff and delicious food. It was a great afternoon!

Nice hut with friendly service. Bacon bread and cyclists as a reward after the Grünstein via ferrata. Large portion, I was expecting a smaller bread, but it was very tasty. Recommended outside of rush hour, as there are only a few places available due to Covid.

Very good for a stop after the via ferrata or a hike. Delicious food, good beer, nice and fast service. Highly recommended.

Small menu with very tasty dishes. Very friendly and attentive staff. Dogs are welcome. Okay in terms of price for a tourist stronghold.

Very nice place and service. The refreshing lemon water is delicious, but I didn't like the Kaiserschmarrn. Too greasy and not so great in taste. Also with a great view. Gladly again.

Here you have a wonderful all-round view of the Watzmann and the Königssee. The ascent is very difficult and you should be sure-footed, but the effort is definitely worth it.

Very nice, rustic hut that can be reached quickly via a short hike from the Hammerstiel car park. There is plenty of refreshing and good food, the host is friendly. A highlight in both summer and winter. The hike can then continue to the summit or to the Kühroint hut!

Hut which is beautiful and not (quite) so crowded. Plan on the way back and then down to Schönau ...

Great, warm and cosy reward after coming back from the Grünstein peak. Super friendly people serving typical Bavarian food, cold and hot drinks and a much deserved schnaps. The Grünstein peak is very close just about 15min ascend.

Nice place to stop during the hike

Super located, worth the stop in any case. The service is extremely friendly and fast, food is delicious. Here you can recharge your batteries to continue.

There was verry polite and fast staff. They offer you some food, beer and so on.

Cool place with great food. However waitresses could work on their behavior though. :)

A bit too touristic for my taste (it's easily accessible) but it's a nice place to relax and enjoy a break in between.

I think you can get the point even if you don't read German, but just to add an English review, don't hike past this place without stopping. Chilling out here with a beer and gulasch soup followed by kaiserschmarrn was the perfect way to relax after a long klettersteig to the top of the Grünstein.
